The Journal of European Optical Society (JEOS-RP)  is pleased to announce a new Topical Issue entitled “Nano-optoelectronics: from novel materials and nanostructures to innovative applications”.

This Topical Issue welcomes articles reporting on recent advances in nano-optoelectronics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Epitaxy of quantum dots and nanowires
  • Quantum well, quantum dot and quantum-cascade lasers
  • Vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers
  • Widegap semiconductor materials and devices
  • Functional luminescent materials
  • Photonic crystals and plasmonics
  • Meta-surfaces and meta-structures
  • Photonic integrated circuits
  • High-speed lasers and detectors
  • Optical communication and interconnects
  • Microwave photonics
  • Photonic devices for energy, biomedical and environmental applications

This Topical issue is open to all authors. It should be noted that this publication is produced on the occasion of the international Nano-Optoelectronics Workshop (iNOW 2025). This workshop takes place in Wrocław and is hosted by Wrocław University of Science and Technology, with the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research PAS, and Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics CAS as co-organizers, on 21-31 July 2025.
